The Caregiver Training Unit
The Caregiver Training Unit is an essential component of keeping children safe in the State of Oregon. They provide, on a daily basis, the care and support necessary for children served by child welfare. Oregon has been innovative in its commitment to providing vital on-going training for its caregivers.
The Caregiver Training Program is designed to develop and deliver training for foster parents, relative care providers, and adoptive parents. This training is created to provide caregivers with skills and knowledge that will enhance their ability to care for children in state custody and to assist them in obtaining post-certification training hours required by Oregon Administrative Rules .
Training is provided statewide both in the classroom and by distance delivery with a variety of topics available. In order to view upcoming trainings scheduled in your area, and throughout the state, please use the menu above.
